Scrapbooksteals.com's Free Bird Cardmakers Dream Bundle Blog Hop

By now I am sure that you have seen the fantastic steal of Authentique's Free Bird Cardmakers Dream Bundle over on Scrapbooksteals.com.  If not, head over there to check it out and then buy it quick!  You do not want to miss out on this! Hurry!

Ok, phew. I'm so glad you got it. (Wait? You didn't get it? Maybe I can convince you that you can't live without it, which you can't. :))  This kit is ABSOLUTELY packed, and I only received 1/7 of it. That's right, 1 kit was split between the 7 of us designers for today. I just can't get over how amazing it is.

Would you like to see what I created? Here are the 25 5x7 cards I was able to create using one pad of Free Bird 6x6 Nest "Comfort and Familiar" and Icons, Tabloids, and Headlines from "Miracle Boy", "Miracle Girl", and "Uncommon". (I hadn't worked with Authentique's Free Bird line before this and let me tell you it is so worth it. They are double-sided and have such wonderful texture.  The patterns are great and the solid side is very complimentary. You will love it!)

I ended up using just about every scrap of better, but I still have tons and tons of the Icons, Tabloids, and Headlines left over. Give me a couple more hours in the day and I'm sure that I could use the remaining product for another 25 cards.  There really is that much stuff!

Now for the closeups.  "Comfort & Familiar" is a collection full of greens and browns, a perfect compliment to the "Miracle Boy" line.  But, What about "Miracle Girl" and "Uncommon"- lines that are all about pink?

As you can see, the browns and greens compliment the pink beautifully!  I have to tell you that i love the color combos pink/brown and pink/green. I think they turned out fabulously!

Now for "Miracle Boy". There are so many of the tabloids and icons from that collection to chose from that I had a hard time picking what exactly to use! (I'm glad this kit is so loaded that I can use my favorites multiple times.)

Yeah, that's a lot of cards, and really it's only the tip of the iceberg with how many you can create with the fabulous kit.  Have I convinced you yet? :) You really do need this and I promise you won't regret it.  You better go HERE and get yours before it's all gone. And because it is so hard to wait for something so good, Scrapbooksteals.com has amazingly fast shipping on the best scrapbooking supplies that you will have it in no time!

Be sure to head back to the Scrapbooksteals.com blog and check out all the other designer's blogs. You really don't want to miss seeing everything else that is included in today's steal.

Trinity Paper Arts National Scrapbooking Day Blog Hop!

Welcome and thanks for joining me on the Trinity Paper Arts Blog Hop! Today is one of my favorite holidays and I just found out about it this year!  I have been missing out for the last 10 years!!

I wanted to share with you a layout I made using Surf N' Swim.  Because I live way, way, way inland, I don't get to the beach much.  The first time I went to a warm beach was when I was 21. I spent many vacations during my childhood at the colder beaches in Washington state. I dug around through my old photo albums and found some pictures of one of my first trips to the Washington coast.  I have seen many fabulous layouts lately that people have done with old photos so I took this opportunity to try it myself.

I love the palm trees on the Palm Trees "A" paper, but am often intimidated by their beauty and not sure how to work with them. As I was scanning my scrap room, my eyes fell on my embossing powders and figured that would be a great addition to make the trees stand out.

I just love to fussy cute the flowers on Flowers "A" and think they make a great addition to just about any layout. I added a little bling in the center to jazz them up.

It was a lot of fun working with some old photos and I'll definitely be doing it again.

Thanks for joining me today!

Since you came her from Jenn's blog, you'll want to go to Cristal's next.
